cleanmarine

How was our product developed?

The Clean Marine EGCS product is the result of comprehensive research and development since 2004.
The first 1 MW pilot was built and tested at the MAN laboratory facility in Holeby, Denmark, during the period 2005-2008.

The results revealed both a high sulfur and high PM (Particulate Matter) trapping that spurred the decision to build and install a full scale 10 MW pilot onboard the vessel M/V Baru during 2009.

Following several tests and subsequent refinements of design and technology, a commercial version of the product is now available.

A 0.6 MW demonstration and research unit of latest version has been installed at the maritime research institute, MARINTEK, located in Trondheim, Norway. This unit will form an important component in research programs related to PM formation, behavior and trapping and also handling of other gases like NOX.
